Cave Heist: Interactive floor game

Roles: Modeller, Developer, VFX, Pathfinding
Production Team Size: 3

Cave Heist was a game we developed for a children’s hospital in Toronto.

The hospital has an interactive 10×10 pressure matt in their waiting room. This lets kids interact with a big screen to play games together.

In Cave Heist kids step on tiles of carpet to drop platforms into the level. Then need to avoid hitting rocks or else the platform will be destroyed. The Treasure ghost with automatically cross the bridges as they’re dropped in get as close as possible to the treasure chest using dynamic pathfinding.

Working on a team of 3 developers, I had the pleasure of modeling the platforms, sourcing and setting up the VFX elements, animating moving elements, and shading the environment and water.
