After being asked to create the pre-rendered cinematics, I proposed a workflow to Stitch Media. My goals where to have strong communication around what I was delivering, and give them as many opportunities to fine tune the scene before we hit render. It’s faster to draw a thumbnail than it is to animate a scene, and it costs a lot less to ask for those revisions.
I also wanted to create the storyboards, Stitch Media has extremely talented artist, but this way they cna see exactly how I am interpreting their requests and feedback. No suppresses for them because they know what to ask for, and they know what I heard before we ever open the engine.
