HeroStar was a arcade vehicle shooter set in a fantastical galaxy. It featured a bright aesthetic that was well ahead of it’s time, a unique ranking system, and many ingenius combat mechanics that wouldn’t become mainstream until the widespread adoption of multiplayer voxels. It did all of this with tight team of indie developers based out of Toronto Ontario.

My involvement in the project started with the Fury Mk2 in 2019 and eventually expanded to part time equivalent work doing everything from modular environment kits to engineering new VFX. This was a very fun project to work on, the team was fantastic and friendly, the concept was comfortably achievable but still let you push your talents in new directions as a Technical Artist and a 3D Artist.
